Abhay Bhushan

Mr Abhay K. Bhushan is Chairman of Asquare, Inc., a professional services company. Prior to this, he was co-founder and CFO of YieldUP International Corporation, a public company acquired by FSI International in 1999.

In 1996, Mr Bhushan was Co-founder, Chairman, President, and CEO of Portola Communications, a private company acquired by Netscape in 1997. From 1974 to 1996, Mr Bhushan was at Xerox Corporation, where he was a senior manager in systems architecture, Xerox Network Systems standards, business development, and environmental leadership. From 1967 to 1974, he was a member of the research staff for M.I.T.’s Project MAC and was an Internet pioneer and author of the File Transfer Protocol (FTP) and early email standards.

Mr Bhushan actively mentors a number of start-up companies in Silicon Valley and serves on the Board of Asquare and Pointcross, and of IIT Kanpur Alumni Association, IIT Kanpur Foundation, and PanIIT. Mr Bhushan is the joint holder of over a dozen US patents.

Abhay is an active marathoner and Ironman triathlete. He completed the Victoria BC marathon in 2001, Maui marathon in 2004, Silicon Valley marathon in 2004, Big Sur Marathon in 2005, Vineman Ironman 70.3 in 2006 and the IIT Kanpur Golden Jubilee Ultramarathon 50K in 2010.
